Are you someone who struggles in Winter?
Someone who dreads the cold, the lack of light, the forced hibernation?
—
Are you someone who loves Winter and wants to create deeper rituals to attune yourself with Winter’s deep wisdom?
Are you interested in Winter myths, Winter Goddesses and ways to embody Winter?
—
Or are you neutral about Winter? Someone who feels neither pulled or pushed by Winter but are instead interested in learning more about how you can enhance your Summer experience (hint, how you do Winter is directly related to how you experience Summer)
Then this course is for you.
This course helps us to discover the ways we’re avoiding Winter.
Whether or not we “dislike” Winter has much to do with how willing we are to shapeshift into our Winter self.
The Language of Winter helps us to discover who we can be when we surrender to the dark half of the year and learn to speak a new language.
I have spent the last 10 years studying Winter intimately. Both on myself and through the experiences of my students. I was so curious… Why is this season so hard for us?
Most of us are asking for just what Winter offers. There’s deeper meaning in the quiet, the dark, the cold.
The Language of Winter distills what Winter’s larger narrative offers us.
One season inevitably leads to the next.
Seasons are patterns, repeated.
Our planet. Our home. Our seasons. Our Winter.
Perhaps it’s time to learn to speak a new language…
The Language of Winter.
I’ve scoured the land. Found old musty books in the basement of libraries. Waited months for a whisper of a story. Sat in lectures with teachers from all around the world. I’ve been seeking something. I’ve been asking questions.
The questions that became most prevalent to me (and the questions I answer throughout this course) are…
What is Winter?
Why are we collectively fighting Wintering?
What does Winter offer us collectively and individually?
How do we understand Winter? What stories do we tell about Winter?
How does our Winter experience relate to our Summer experience?
Is there a way to re-write our relationship with Winter?
And if so… How?
Who is The Cailleach? And why should she matter to me?
